Returns, Refunds & Collector Condition Policy

Welcome to Action Figure Essentials

We specialise in collector-grade action figures, sixth scale collectibles, display accessories, and premium hobby products. Many items we sell are limited-run, factory sealed, hand-finished, or intended for adult collectors, where packaging condition, originality, and seal integrity are an important part of the productโ€™s value.

By placing an order with Action Figure Essentials, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below.


๐Ÿ”’ Sale, Clearance & Discounted Items

All sale, clearance, discounted, promotional, or reduced-price items are considered FINAL SALE.

No returns, refunds, exchanges, or store credit will be issued for:

  • Clearance items
  • Discounted products
  • Promotional offers
  • Multi-buy offers
  • Coupon-discounted items
  • Seasonal or event sale products

This applies regardless of reason unless required under applicable consumer law.


๐Ÿ” Limited Edition, Exclusive & Collector Items

Limited edition, exclusive, chase, numbered, convention-exclusive, short-run, or highly collectible items are subject to enhanced collector-grade policy enforcement.

These items are considered FINAL SALE.

The following conditions apply:

  • No returns, refunds, or exchanges
  • Opening a factory seal permanently voids all claims
  • Closed-box or non-window packaging is purchased entirely at the buyerโ€™s discretion and risk
  • Packaging condition is not guaranteed to professional grading standards unless explicitly stated in the listing

Due to the collectible nature of these products, factory seals, original packaging, and unopened condition form part of the itemโ€™s value.


๐Ÿ“ฆ Standard Items

Returns for regular-priced items may be considered only when all conditions below are met:

  • Item is unopened, unused, and factory sealed
  • Original packaging, inserts, accessories, protective materials, and seals are fully intact
  • Return request is submitted within 14 calendar days of delivery
  • Proof of purchase is provided
  • Return is approved prior to shipment

All return requests are reviewed individually and approved solely at our discretion.

Unauthorized returns or items returned without approval may be refused and returned to sender.


๐Ÿšซ Opened Items & Broken Seals

Once an item has been opened, used, displayed, assembled, or had its factory seal broken, all return eligibility and claims are void.

This includes:

  • Standard items
  • Limited edition items
  • Exclusive products
  • Closed-box packaging
  • Blind-box products
  • Figures with internal packaging trays removed

Opened collectibles cannot be resold as new collector-grade inventory.


๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Damage & Manufacturing Defect Claims

Claims for shipping damage or verified manufacturing defects are limited strictly to issues identifiable prior to opening the item.

To qualify for review, ALL of the following conditions must be met:

  • Claim submitted within 24 hours of confirmed delivery
  • Item remains unopened, unused, and factory sealed
  • Original shipping carton, packing materials, labels, and packaging are retained
  • Clear photographic evidence is provided upon request, including:
    • Unopened product
    • Outer packaging
    • Shipping box (internal and external)
    • Shipping labels
    • Packing materials

Failure to meet any requirement may result in automatic denial of the claim.

All claims undergo review and verification, including carrier assessment where applicable.

Action Figure Essentials reserves the sole and final authority to determine claim validity and resolution outcome.


โŒ What Is Not Considered Damage or Defect

The following are considered normal manufacturer or collector-market characteristics and do not qualify for return, refund, replacement, or compensation:

  • Minor paint variations or overspray
  • Factory assembly inconsistencies
  • Slight articulation stiffness or looseness
  • Minor packaging wear, soft corners, creases, or shelf wear
  • Internal cosmetic concerns discovered after opening
  • Variations in rooted hair, tailoring, weathering, or hand-painted finishes
  • Blind-box or closed-box contents
  • Personal grading expectations or display preferences

Collector products are mass-produced and may contain natural production variances.


๐Ÿ“ฆ Closed-Box / Non-Window Packaging

Some items are packaged in fully sealed boxes without viewing windows.

By purchasing these products, the customer acknowledges and accepts that:

  • Internal contents cannot be inspected prior to opening
  • Opening the package voids all claims
  • Internal cosmetic or assembly variations are manufacturer characteristics
  • We cannot verify paint application or internal condition without breaking factory seals

๐ŸŽจ Collector Condition Disclaimer

Unless specifically stated otherwise, we do not guarantee mint, case-fresh, or professional grading-level packaging condition.

Normal collector-market characteristics may include:

  • Minor edge wear
  • Small creases or surface marks
  • Transit wear from manufacturers or distributors
  • Factory handling imperfections

These are not considered defects.


๐Ÿ’ณ Refunds & Store Credit

If a return is approved, the resolution may be issued as:

  • Store credit
  • Exchange
  • Replacement item
  • Refund to the original payment method

The resolution offered will depend on the nature of the return, item condition, stock availability, and order circumstances.

Please note:

  • Store credit may be issued in place of refunds for eligible returns
  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable
  • Return shipping costs are the customerโ€™s responsibility unless the return is due to a verified error on our part
  • Refund processing times vary depending on payment provider and bank handling times

๐Ÿšš Return Shipping Requirements

Approved returns must be:

  • Securely packaged
  • Returned with all original packaging, inserts, accessories, and protective materials
  • Sent using appropriate protective outer packaging

Items returned damaged due to inadequate packaging may be subject to deductions or refusal.

To protect genuine collectors and prevent fraudulent activity, Action Figure Essentials reserves the right to:

  • Refuse future service
  • Cancel pending orders
  • Restrict customer accounts
  • Deny claims or returns
  • Apply restocking deductions where appropriate

This applies in cases involving excessive, inconsistent, suspicious, or abusive claims behaviour.

Once a claim or return request has been reviewed and denied, the case will be considered final and closed.

Further review or appeal may not be available.


๐Ÿงฉ Display Stands, Display Cases & Accessories

Display stands, risers, acrylic cases, lighting products, and display accessories differ from sealed collector figures and therefore follow a modified return process.


๐Ÿ“ฆ Returns โ€” Display Accessories

Returns for display accessories may be considered when:

  • Item is unused and unassembled
  • All packaging, hardware, protective film, and parts are included
  • Request is made within 14 days of delivery
  • Proof of purchase is provided
  • Return approval is obtained before shipment

Items showing signs of use, assembly, installation, or modification may not qualify for return.

Returns cannot be accepted for accessories that:

  • Have been assembled or installed
  • Show signs of use or display wear
  • Are missing parts or packaging
  • Have damaged or removed protective film

If a display accessory arrives damaged or with a verified manufacturing issue:

  • Contact us within 48 hours of delivery
  • Retain all original packaging

Potential resolutions may include:

  • Replacement item
  • Store credit
  • Alternative resolution where appropriate

The following do not qualify as defects:

  • Minor cosmetic marks not affecting functionality
  • Small acrylic or finish variations
  • Minor manufacturing tolerances
  • Compatibility differences between brands or figure bodies
  • Issues occurring after assembly, installation, or use
